The Ministry of Education is proud to celebrate Healthy Learners on receiving the prestigious Skoll Award for Social Innovation, a global recognition of their transformative partnership with the Zambian government to strengthen the government school health programme.

We were honoured to have our Director of School Health and Nutrition (SHN), Ms. Malalu Mulundika present to witness this milestone. Her presence reflected the Ministry’s strong commitment to integrating health and education to improve learner outcomes across Zambia.

Through this partnership, thousands of teachers have been trained to deliver health services in schools, reaching nearly one million learners to date. The award is not just a recognition of past achievements—it’s a call to scale further, faster.

With expansion already underway, we look forward to working with Healthy Learners and other partners to bring this impact to more learners in more districts.
